THE PRESENTATION OF THE EU SPANISH PRESIDENCY PRIORITIES 2023
El Embajador de España ha presentado hoy en Sofía las prioridades de la Presidencia española, en un acto celebrado en compañía de la Vice Primera Ministra, Mariya Gabriel, y el Representante de la Comisión Europea en Bulgaria.
El Embajador de España ha destacado cuatro prioridades dentro de la agenda de la Presidencia española: la reindustrialización de Europa; el progreso de la transición verde; una mayor justicia social y económica; y el fortalecimiento de la unidad europea.
La Vice Primera Ministra y Ministra de Asuntos Exteriores, Mariya Gabriel, ha agradecido a España su firme apoyo a la entrada de Bulgaria y Rumanía en Schengen, y ha deseado mucho éxito a nuestro país.
El representante de la Comisión en Bulgaria, Cvetan Kyulanov, también ha celebrado las prioridades de la Presidencia española. Además, ha comentado la importancia del acceso a Schengen de Bulgaria y ha instado a las autoridades búlgaras a mostrar a sus ciudadanos los beneficios de la pertenencia a la UE.

Посланикът на Испания представи днес в София приоритетите на испанското председателство на церемония, заедно с вицепремиера Мария Габриел и представителя на Европейската комисия в България.
Посланикът на Испания изтъкна четири приоритета в дневния ред на испанското председателство: реиндустриализацията на Европа; напредъка на зеления преход; по-голяма социална и икономическа справедливост; и укрепването на европейското единство.
Вицепремиерът и министър на външните работи Мария Габриел благодари за твърдата подкрепа на Испания за влизането на България и Румъния в Шенген и пожела на страната ни много успехи.
Представителят на ЕК в България Цветан Кюланов също приветства приоритетите на испанското председателство. Също така коментира значението на присъединяването на България до Шенген и призова българските власти да покажат на своите граждани предимствата на членството в ЕС.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Mariya Gabriel participated in a discussion on the priorities of the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. "Spain is a strong ally that Bulgaria values and I count on good cooperation with the Presidency for Bulgaria's accession to Schengen," Gabriel told the Spanish Ambassador to Bulgaria Alejandro Polanco Mata, who hosted the event. Ambassadors from member states and partner countries outside the EU, and head of the European Commission Representation in Bulgaria Tsvetan Kyulanov took part in the event.
"We support the future active work of the Spanish government in the context of the green transition. The use of renewable energy and the creation of hydrogen valleys is a priority," Gabriel further said during the discussion. The Deputy Prime Minister said she was counting on Spain to double the number of hydrogen valleys in Europe and welcomed the country's ambition to promote social and economic justice to help European companies compete.
Among the highlights of the Deputy Prime Minister's speech was the promotion of the EU's strategic autonomy and Bulgaria's support for action in this direction, as well as the topics of artificial intelligence, deep technology and regional and innovation valleys.
Gabriel also highlighted the EU's strategic interest in continuing its full support for Ukraine. "It was a strong symbol that Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez launched the presidency in Kyiv," she stressed, adding that Ukraine needs continued help and support for its EU integration path.
